Arctic P14 PWM PST ARGB Review
Introduction
In this review, we will focus on Arctic's latest addition to their Fan Lineup, the P14 ARGB. Due to its excellent performance in combination with the Arctic Liquid Freezer 280 ARGB, we have nothing but high expectations for its performance!

What's in the Box?
Arctic's latest P14 ARGB installment comes in the same style box as their smaller counterparts.
Inside that box, we will find the following items:
- 3x P14 ARGB
- 3x Fan Screws set
Yep, that's it.
Down below we also added a short summary about the Fans specs:
Name | Arctic P14 PWM PST ARGB 0db |
Size | 140x140x27mm |
Speed | 1900RPM |
Airflow | 68.9CFM |
Connection | PWM |
Bearing | Fluid Dynamic Bearing |
RGB | Yes, Central Piece |
RGB Connection | 3-Pin ARGB |
Installation
As there is no controller or anything else required to make the P14 ARGB's spin or shine, the installation procedure is as close-to spec as it can be.
After mounting the Fan wherever you desire using the included Fan screws, the only thing to do is connect both the PWM and 3-Pin ARGB cable to your Motherboard header.
One of the most useful features about the P14 ARGB's, or most Arctic Fans in general, is their PST System. Having a PST Fan means that there will be a little additional Female header attached to each cable coming out of the fan. This additional header allows us to dayisi-chain more Fans to the first one, ending up with multiple Fans connected to a single header. Both Clean, and Efficient at the same time.
Appearance
As the name already suggests, except for the size, there is absolutely no difference between the P14 ARGB's and the smaller P12 ARGB models.
The P14 ARGB comes with the same ring connecting each fan blade helping to direct the air and eliminating turbulence.
Hidden inside the central unit we will find some LEDs whose color is protruding into the main Wing section and traveling across the whole fan until it reaches the outer ring. Due to the Wings being semi-transparent and the LED's being strong enough, this creates a very good-looking light show.
Benchmark
We tested the P14 ARGB using our usual Benchmark test. While spinning at 100% of their speed, the P14's managed to keep the 3700x at 43°C, 6°C better than the original P14-non RGB, and by far the best 140mm Case fans we have seen so far.
While Noise-Normalizing the numbers, we saw that the 140mm Arctic RGB P14 were able to outperform most of their competitors. Not quite on the level of a set of NF-A12x25, but very close to them.
Conclusion
About a year ago, we were very happy with Arctic's P12 ARGB 0db. This year, with its 140mm power-up, it is no different. Considering its excellent performance, paired with a very good Noise-to-Performance ratio and the usual Arctic-level of quality, there can nothing else be said except for an absolute recommendation.
Therefore, if you're looking for one of the best 140mm RGB infused Case Fans, this is going to be it!
However, we wanted to address (or repeat) something that we've noticed during both our P12 ARGB and P14 ARGB reviews. For some reason, Arctic decided to split the cabling for Power and Lights up into two different groups which are traveling to two different Fan-Frame sides. As it stands now, the PWM and ARGB signal is coming out on different sides of the Fan, making it a little bit harder to handle, if the fan needs to be squished into an extremely tight space.
This could have been avoided if the fan would have both cables coming out on the exact same side, just like (almost) every other RGB fan.
But other than that, excellent fan!
